After what seemed like 10 or so hours tennessee finally pulls out another squeaker 52-50. It took 4 overtimes

after the cats fumbled i was jumpin up and down screaming FUMBLE! FUMBLE! PICK IT UP! PICK IT UP!

The votes are all in and Chavis has been voted dumbest coach of the year for not blitzing the QB in the 2nd half and letting KY back into the game.

Tell ya what, I'm glad it's over. I don't think I could have taken another overtime

Yeah, I can't under stand why, when Tennessee was ahead early in the second half, "by a comfortable margin",( if there is such of a thing), why they didn't allow the backs to play up a least ten yards closer to the receivers. Well, I guess I just don't know alot about football. Even if things seems to be obvious to us armchair annalist, its hard now to second guess the coaches when they have come from no where, (and who would have guessed it a couple or three weeks ago), "won the east".........And who can feel comfortable betting against them in title game..............emoScratch

kentucky has been a "come from behind" team all year. The lsu, arkansas, and louisville games have all been second half comebacks for kentucky this year. That was a great game and tennessee deserves to go to atlanta. Somehow they keep finding a way to win.

UT deserves nothing. They deserve to have a coach that isn't going to put them into situations such as this. Honestly, this game was crap from the beginning. Kentucky should have won the game 2 times............at the end of regulation, if the QB would have got the pass down, the game would have been over, and then again in the OT, when the FG would have won it for them.

Get rid of Fulmer and let UT gain some credibility back.

I thank UT for winning this game, cause while they are looking at getting it handed back to them by LSU, my Bulldogs can look forward to the Sugar Bowl, perhaps. #5 or #6 in the nation, with the majority of the team coming back next year................not a bad place to be.

Honestly, I could care less about UT showing their true colors. It's hilarious to me that LSU's uppers have said that they would rather have Tennessee than Georgia. Two reasons............UT is becoming weaker while Georgia is becoming stronger, and 2..............Stacey Searles. Who is that, you might ask? Well, he's the UGA Off. Line Coordinator. Why would they worry about one man? Well, Stacy was a coach at LSU for 3-4 years. How do I know? He's my cousin.

He graduated from Trion High School, he went to Auburn, and played in the NFL. Now, he's one of the coaches at UGA.

As I said, UT might have won the east, but LSU will win the championship, and UGA will finish in the top 5 in the nation, while UT will barely be in the top 15, if even there.

You tell me who won out on this?

I will go even so far as to say that next season, UGA has a great chance of making a bid for the National Championship.

One thing I don't understand is that the refrees made Tennessee pay their penaltly in the next overtime after Arian Foster did "Unsportsmanlike" conduct and didn't make Kentucky pay after the facemask as Tennessee was running up field after blocking the kick... Anyone?
I was just thinking that the refs was on Kentucky's side.... That's a no-no refs!

Guess I'm getting rid of my tickets! emoBawl Congrats you LUCKY vols! Have fun in atlanta and put the smackdown on LSU. NWGA, More than likely the dawgs are gonna be in a BCS bowl but I don't think it will be the Sugar. I believe that bowl is reserved for the SEC Champs so I figure we'll go to the Orange Bowl and play the ACC Champ.

NWGAbass, you talk about Tenn. has gotten weaker & Ga. has gotten stronger... Maby, maby not thats ( your opinion ). And GA. is going to the SugarBowl I don't think so. But one thing I do know is Tennessee DID beat Georgia! And it wasn't in overtime. Ease up a bit buddy, it's just football, & neither team knows who you or I am

So as my buddy Forrest Gump would say,... (

Have a nice day!

One other thing, most of the Vols (who beat the dawgs 35-14) will be back too. Just think what they would do with great defensive coaches. They held Mcfadden to 117 yards, and LSU vaunted #1 defense held him to 210 yards rushing and 5 tds. I guess that Tennessee really is getting weaker by the moment. emoPoke emoBigsmile emoBigsmile emoGeezer

CRAAZY Football season for sure. Tennessee took a couple of butt whippins (FLA & ALA) emoBang They opened a can o whoop a$$ on GA & AR - KANSASemoToast IMHO just a typical season in the SEC emoSun

I'm proud of the VOLS for making it to the Championship. Those kids worked hard, and they DESERVE the trip to Atlanta.

GO VOLS!

I don't know what you're talking about NWGA, but I think Tennessee will have a great chance to defeat LSU in the SEC Championship game and Tennessee does deserve to be in the SEC Championship. Not Georgia! It would'nt be fair because Tennessee beat them by three touchdowns!

NWGB, You must have lost your mind by saying that Tennessee doesn't deserve it. Those kids played their hearts out the last month of the season. Regardless of coaching or not, they busted their hind ends. PERIOD! Thank us for whatever you want, we'll be in Atlanta while the Dawgs sit at home. Sure, you finished great.. no doubt, but no matter what you say, how you spin it, or what you see through your red and black glasses, the Dawgs got it handed to them by the Vols, and we are going to Atlanta... enjoy Miami at the Orange Bowl, but no matter where you finish, you won't be SEC Champions. Even Mark Richt said he could careless about a BCS game if he doesn't have a SEC Championship. Get over it.

Fishin' Junkie, this was not intended to you... you seem to be a respectable Georgia fan.

2007 Tennessee Volunteers SEC East Champs

I'm going to Atlanta, secured my tix last night...who else is going??

good luck to TN. I think they have a pretty good chance with LSU dropping that last game. I think it would be very easy for them to lose focus going from NC contenders to almost left out of the BCS entirely (if they lose to TN)
