first buck ever (8 pointer)

Killed my first deer in my life. just started hunting this year. walked right out in an opening right in front of me this morning about 7:30. shot him in gut so had a long day of tracking. hey guess you gotta start somewhere. probably wounldn't have been able to find it without my little brother. appreciate the help BigKuntry1282. good buck 8 pointer estimated at about 140 lbs. but feels like a whole lot more when u got to drag him 600 yards.

Congrats!! - I took my first buck a few weeks ago, just started myself last year - I am hooked! Still enjoy just being out in the woods where they live...bringing one home is just a bonus.

emoThumbsup Glad someone saw one worth shooting. I saw a couple yesterday but none worth pulling the trigger on. Boy, was it cold on the stand around 8, I about froze and was dressed for it but still cold. Churly already dogged me about the 4 point I shot with the ML so I passed yesterday on a couple small ones. I think I would have shot on that one as well.
