<div>Well I got a late start picking up deer hunting. Too many bass, cats, and ladies to catch over 31 years. Bass has gotten too easy, Minner sold his catfish bote, and I got married last year so I had no excuses left not to deer hunt. </div><div>My friend inherited 160 acres in Marshall County and I've been working on it with him this year. Flipped a coin for the prime stand and I won. Wish I had a nostalgic tale of a tough hunt, but it goes like this. Got in the stand at 5:30. Drank waaaaaay too much coffee this morning (lesson learned), and had to pee starting at 6:30, chewed it back until 8:10 and finally couldn't take it. So I marked my territory thoroughly and figured, "there goes the hunt, or at least that's what the hunting shows say. So I pulled out my iPhone 5 and killed 8 caribou, 4 moose and 3 black bear on Deer Hunter App. </div><div>Feeling pretty good about my skills I look up and see an ear, and I put my gadget up. A few seconds later a big doe steps out at 75 yards. She dropped her head to eat some rye we planted and raised back up just in time for me to lay her out through the lungs with my Gramp's hand-me-down Winchester Model 70 30-06. Using that gun made it even more special. Thanks Gramps, love ya!</div>
She only went 10 yards and folded up. With only YouTube and an email from CooperJD advising me I perfectly field dressed her without an issue. She's at the processor now and I'm HOOKED!</p>
The bass on Guntersville are sighing with relief! </p>
