First the companies, now the people are leaving.

I have been saying for a while to over tax the rich will not work. To me it does not take a very smart person to see where we are going. Back in Bill Clinton's time many companies started leaving the US because they could make more on the bottom line by producing their products in other countries and selling them in the US. We have seen a large amount of companies move due to that still being the case. Profit, bottom line, net, dollars in your pocket, whatever you want to call it that is the case. That fact is not up for debat, it is the facts.

Now if you have not had your head in a hole or in the clouds of denial you are seeing a lot of well to do people leaving the US for places they can keep more of their money and avoid high taxes. Most recent is Tina Turner who has been living in Switzerland for some time and is now giving up her US passport for that country. Also look at Mickelson who did the mistake of talking about it. He got blasted for saying it out loud. He apologized for saying it out loud but not for what he said. Mark my words, more and more wealthy people will be leaving this country for places they can keep more of what they made or are making. We will then be in worse shape then we are now. You can fuse about it all you want, say how bad it is for them to do that and bad mouth them all you want. But they will be leaving just like many companies have as long as we continue down the path we are on right now. emoGeezer Jmax

Nice statement of fact and typical Liberal denial of the hard facts. When there are no wealthy people here to promote Business and No business, Just where will the trillions our Jackass leaders keep wasting come from. The only wealthy citizens left will be the retired senators... I wonder where they will relocate to.

I have actually considered going to another country and getting citizenship there. Then come back to the US as a foreigner to open a business. A person from another country can get a large amount of money to open a business from our great government. Not to mention they are taxed at a very small rate for about seven years. This was done to attract business into the US from other countries but it just caused the citizens of the US to be at a huge disadvantage to compete with them. Thus you see small business run by foreigners popping up all over the place and many businesses that were owned by US citizens being sold to foreigners. It upsets me that we could fair as well if we could just be given those same breaks to run a business as they do. emoBang Often they will run it until the length of time with the breaks are almost up and then they will sell the business to a relative or another person they know so they in turn are starting it new again and they get the break. It never actually stops. I do not feel this was the way it was meant to be but they have figured out how to work the system. emoAngry Jmax

The bomma does not care one whit about this. As long as he can find ways to redistribute your money to those who refuse to work, it will continue.

The takers now outnumber the makers and since the takers can vote, it will continue until the house of cards fall. The world will look dramatically different once the government has too little money for redistribution. There will be no money for Social Security, ebt cards, food stamps, etc. I wonder how much damage the takers will do to the inner cities when their checks are cut off. It's gonna happen, you know.
