First trip to Riverbend.

Well, after all these years, I finally got my butt to R-bend. Since Cathead was singing backup for "No Big Deal" on the Bud stage tonight, me and Mrs Spur got there at 6Pm....WHEW HOOOOOT

It was at least 96, and over 100 in the sun. It was all worth it, I cant remember all the songs, but the first was "IN THE LIVING YEARS" Great pick for the boys to sing along with them, and the last and best was "THE WALL" by Pink Floyd of course, and it was amazing having the whole group of boys the part of the school children of course. You guys missed out!!</p>

As for the Bend itself, I was in sticker shock over the prices.

For one small bottle of water, a lemonade, and HALF of a chix breast on a stick, $20.00!!!  I think I will apply for a booth space next year and make a fortune in one week myself!

Spur, you will die from sticker shock when you apply for a space to sell from if they even have one left next year.

I would imagine there is a waiting list to rent space at Riverbend. The event has been the biggest rip in the area for a lot of years.
Glad Hunter got to be a celebrity for a while. Sure wish I had taken some pics of him fishing in my boat on his way to the top. That way in years to come I could say "yup I knew him back before he got famous" emoBigsmile

Did they play the whole "The Wall" album, or just the song, "Another Brick in the Wall pt 2" where all the kids sing, "We don't need no education" ?</p>

"Another Brick in the Wall pt 2" Brandon, my son was adamant about the song being called The Wall, and I said no, its "Another Brick in the Wall" , he said <u>I </u>wasn't on stage, so I posted it that way.

 Regardless, it was too cool. (you do know 14 yr olds are smarter than us right?)
