I put up my crappie rods long enough to go on my first turkey hunt of the year. Drove up to my b-i-l's place in Cumberland county before daylight. Got in the blind by 7:00 am all full of excitement and anticipation. About 8:25 6 hens came out of the woods into this field that I was overlooking and walked to the bottom of the hill. Didn't hear any gobblers at all and none showed up. I sat there until 10:00 am and had to quit and come back to Chattanooga for appointments this afternoon. There will be another day before season is over to bag my first turkey. emoBigsmile emoGeezer

Nothing like being in the woods early in the spring and watching the woods come to life.

Oooooh, and you think your addicted to crappie fishing! Turkey hunting is addictive!

NO, I'm only going to kill one gobbler and then that's it for life. emoPoke emoBigsmile emoGeezer
