Dad and I were very disappointed with our very poor result Saturday, especially considering the amount of hours and good success we have had fishing the lower end over the years. We went shallow and deep throughout the day. Only brought in 2 fish; one of which got big spot which helped our feelings, I guess. Caught that fish on a stretch of rocky bank off a creek channel on a JB in 10 -12 F.O.W. The LM was caught on a deep bank, 22 F.O.W., on a jig. had these fish by 9am. I thought we would have a good day of catching at this point. Didn't work out that way.

Hats off to all the boats that had good bags to bring in.

And thanks to the committee for another well run event.

We fished the river all winter with good success on the smallies. We only fished the lake a couple of times only for a few hours with no success and it showed with our tournament result. My captain tried hard and we fished all kinds of patterns, but we didn’t catch a fish after 9 am. Glad he at least got a decent largemouth and big spot.
