Dad and I hit the river today at about 30 minutes after sunrise. Fished until 3:45. And for us it was tough, tough, tough. Not sure I remember a day down there where neither one of us scratched off a good Brownfish or Fatty. We tried different patterns and couldn't get much going.

We fished most of our "usual places" and they did not pan out. We did get some bites, but it was almost as if the fish were just mouthing the lures; you'd set the hook and feel some pressure but then no fish.

The water temp early was 53 and when we took out it was at 57 i believe. The flow varied; early it was 20'000+ cfs and when we took out it was 12,700 cfs.

We finished with 1 small Browfish, 1 Keeper spot, 3 white bass, 1 yellow bass, 2 drum, and a blue cat. We threw everything pretty much. JB's, Cranks, Jigs, SB's, etc.

Weather conditions this coming Saturday look to be similar to yesterdays conditions. That is either a good thing or a bad thing lol. Maybe we will recover and catch a few on Saturday.

I just want to apologize Pete jr.! I have sore mouthed so many fish down there the last month! My buddy said he didn't catch a fish down there yesterday. I'll try and take it easy this month! lol Been meaning to post some pics and reports, but I have been on the water to much! Hey at least you guys got a few tugs!

Haha. Well, maybe thats why they were just "mouthing" the lures, their mouths were sore.

fished below the dam on Friday, didn't do a lot with 47K of flow. I think we caught 5 SM's on live shiners and then moved down river and got 7 more smallies on my "secret alltime great SM lure. I was fishing all the spots you guys showed me 5 years ago. They are still holding some fish. emoSmile Ask your dad he will know what it is. We caught several small SM, with a couple of good keepers.

Regards, Norman
