My current stuff is like an 80's Atari game and I know I need to upgrade. Question is Hummingbird or Lowrance and why?? I don't think I have the $$$ for side imaging, just want a good fish finder. If you only had the money now to buy one unit, would you put it on the console or up front off of the trolling motor?? Probably a Chevy/Ford question, but I would still appreciate anyone's input and advice.....Thansk, Jim

They are getting where the price is right! for 582 to almost 700!
I think the industry is narrowing down what works and what the consumer wants {likes}

I am getting ready too emoCool

yep,i just filled a questionaire that lowrance emailed me on this very topic,lowrance has cash back on several award winning units right now,couple hundred $$$ will get you a color unit,i gotta use the high dollar big screens cause i cant see the little ones!!guess i'm gettin old....

Thanks for your responses. I'm looking to buy one here in the next couple of months. Sounds like Fish n Fun has a pretty good reputation with these things, so will most likely go there. Thanks again! emoThanks Jim
