What's everyone's thoughts on how much longer it will take for fish to start making/moving to beds ? Thanks

They will spawn from now till late May/early June. Everything from water levels, temperature swings and the moon phase will pull them in.

I just got back from chickamauga. I didn't see or catch any on beds so my plans for tomorrow's tournament are going to get switched up in a hurry.

Man, with the cold front coming in that's going to throw another kink in it. I'm just driving 2 hours to fish and I am hoping it does not screw everything up. Good luck tomorrow.

When you see how crowded the lake is tomorrow with all the tournaments and nowhere to fish, you're really gonna be upset after driving two hours.

The truth is the fish don't even know. when the temps get rite it will happen. So say the TWRA biologists.

I agree with jenco! Be carefull and watch out for flying treble hooks. Even with all the pressure heave bags are getting weighed in. Love the Chick and release all fish.

We've been told our whole lives that fish largemouth spawn when temps hit low to mid 60's last year we caught fish locked down on beds with water in the mid to upper 50's. I personally believe length of days has more to do with it much like the rut

Thats next to impossible. Bass eggs can't hatch until the water is 65 plus!

sarcasm?

No Sarcasm, Sorry. probably saw bass staking territory or, males fanning. they'll do that 1st then go round up the females but, females wont drop eggs untill the water is at least 62 plus, at least 3 feet down. Could have been a severe cold front dropped the temps drastically?

If they start going on bed early with this nice weather we are having TVA is going to mess them all up when they start raising the water level to full pool anyway.
