Had to run back to Publix today to grab some fresh seafood for dinner and man I tell ya, I ain't never seen prices like this store has. You'd think they done lost their minds.
King Salmon filets were $27.99 @ lb! How can you justify that much money for a lb of fish! I don't know what in the hell makes king salmon so valuable, but that's just plum rediculous. I guess some people have more money than sense. The little raggily striper filets looked like death and were still $19.99 @ lb! King crab legs were $7.99 @ lb.
I don't know if y'all watch "Deadliest Catch" on Discovery, but those guys put their life on the line and at least some die every year chasin' those crabs, for a measly $5 @ lb. These guys go through icy hell on earth to bring those crabs to market, what does a salmon fisherman do that makes those fish more valuable.
I think I'm gonna have to write a strongly worded letter to corporate on that one!
