My son went down town to the convention center for Silverdale Baptist Church Easter Speical with his friends, my lovely wife decided she did not want to fight the crowds so she said she was going to sleep in. Well you all know me well enough by now if I sleep past 7 it is something wrong. Sure nuff, 6:45 woke up and felt the easter bunny in me say go fishing. I couldn't refuse the easter bunny urge so I went to the chick here by the house and had a very nice morning. Launched out of the 58 wolftever ramp and there was hardly anyone there due to it being Easter Sunday. Decided to go up the Wolf but today I just felt the need to hang a left at polo's house and I fished the Savannah creek. I first off went for spawning bass caught 6 off beds by throwing a spook on top of them and twiching it very slowly over the stumps and wood I could see. They didn't really want it but would blow up on it to chase it away. Two time they didn't take it but I followed it up with a worm and they hit it. A couple more blows didn't work for the second strike.
I than went for the crappie and caught 13 with a bobber and red/chartruse tube jig. They were hitting slow and you would barely twitch it and they would take it down.
Went back to bass fishing and caught three more on the spook. In all I boated 9 bass, 13 crappie, a cat on the crappie jig and a skip jack also on the crappie jig. Left at 1 so not a bad morning. Jmax
