Well our first tournament of not only the season, but the very first for our division has come and was a great time. We started out on Friday night at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for our dinner. Dixie bar-b-que provided us an amazing dinner, drinks were provided by Chattanooga Coke, and the pastor, Darreyl Dugger, provided us with a uplifting message of what it means to be a "Fisher of Men". We were able to give out some nice door prizes to every child in attendance provided by Cabela's, Dicks Sporting Goods, Soddy Bait and Tackle, and Lifeway.
Saturday welcomed us with great weather. We had 8 teams compete. The team of Pat Brumlow and Zach Wilson won 1st place with 14.12 lbs. and also 2nd big fish with their 3.13 lbs bass. Steve Barnes and C.J. Harden took 2nd place with 13.15 lbs. The team of Jeff and Katie Sullivan placed 3rd with 10.9 lbs. Marshall and Chandler Wallace took 1st big fish with a 4.3 lbs bass. We want to thank each team for not only their participation, but their sportsmanship.
Please plan on joining us June 18 - 19, 2010 for our second and last tournament of the year at Chester Frost Park. Remember, all teams must register and attend Friday night meeting at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 7634 Gann Rd., Hixson TN 37343. Membership is $30 a year and $80 per tournament. This is the last chance to be qualified from this division to fish the national championship in Guntersville, AL.
