Thanks again to anyone who left me a tip over the last 2 days. Just got back from the river. Spent the whole day out there. Tried the boils at the dam first. No cats (I saw a guy in a boat get a huge one) but I caught nice shad till I got bored with it. It was a lot of fun on an ultra light rod! I can't remember the last time I caught so many fish in one day Also saw quite a few big drum being caught....Then headed over to the lake side. Got 3 decent cats over by the marina. Biggest was 8 and the smaller 2 were around 4-5. No big ones but at least I have dinner! I'd like to go out again on Thurs. Any tips? I'd appreciate it :)

Good report. Thanks. Looks like you found our Tennessee Tarpon. Those things are a blast to catch and are excellent Cat bait. Sounds like you found the dock near the marina entrance That I suggested. Very happy you caught Dinner there. That place will only get better as the Summer comes on in. emoThumbsup

Good job, and great report... Nice to see someone my age on here other than all these OLD farts! :)

Fishing the tailraces, can always give you lots of action. If you are ever in North Alabama, holler at me and maybe we can get you a big kitty.

Good Report emoThumbsup I don't generally catfish, but I did go with a fella from work the other day. We went on the Hixson side of the dam, where the creek comes in. You can park there and there is a walkway down to the rip rap. If you walk on down closer to the train bridge you can cast out into some fairly deep areas. I caught about a 20 lb. blue when we went the other night. Just one more option for you and emoWelcome to Chattanooga and the forum.
