First time co-angler, anybody done this before? Didn't get good answers from tournament director, just said talk to your pro.
I don't want to bring everything I own for obvious reasons, so not including fishing tackle, what do the pros not mind you using I.e. Pliers, measuring board, scissors, are weigh in bags provided, any other tips/advice

I am also fishing the choo choo bfl as a co angler for the first time.

Here is my plan.. I got a small bag at gander mountain that holds 4 Plano 3700 boxes. I have loaded tha bag with mostly finesse type baits with a few hard baits like traps, jerks and cranks. I plan on taking 6 rods to the event along with extra baits. Once I speak with my pro I will decide on which 4 rods I will actually put in the boat. My bag will have extra reel, line, pliers and a culling device.

In another bag I will have rain gear, lunch or snacks and anything else the pro tells me I might need extra.

this is pretty much how I fish from my kayak when I can't bring the whole boat load of gear.

Most of the pros will give you plastics if you don't have what they are throwing, 4 rods ,snacks, drinks for the day and as light as you can go will make it more enjoyable and manageable. I fished a few years ago and I took to much so if I could do it again I'd scale back to this. A lot of the pro side boys are just like you and me but they can afford to fish as a pro. Have your rods ready to fish with your favorite baits tied on , a bass is a bass so what works here will work anywhere you go .Last but not least be sure to give the boater gas money !!

Blue76 has a pretty good plan
