Got up to Riverpark this morning and got to follow wiskers and alvin around to there HOTSPOTS. Fished the tube at first but didnt have much going except for a couple of spots and a smallie that went about a pound and a half.. I just could not get them to bite that tube like Wiskers and Bassmaster A was doing.. Needless to say wherever they was they put on a spot clinic... started throwing a yellow and white Norman crankbait and came up goose eggs on that.. Finally I put on a chartreuse and white spinnerbait with charteuse blades.. FISH ON!! you had to throw it right next to the bank and slow roll it, and I mean slow.. It was really wild watching it start to sink and the next thing you knew it was 6 inches to the side of where you threw it. I kept it as close to the bottom as I could and still feel the blades turn.. When they hit it you knew it..Couldnt match the numbers that Wiskers and B.A. put up but had a great day..I figured I had about 20 or so spots and one smallie.. a couple of the spots were nice ones.. Had something real strange happen on the way back to the ramp... Down around where Quaker Oats used to be i seen a huge boil in the water probably about 50' in diameter. I ran through it wide open and when i hit it the back end of my boat it slide the back sideways probably a foot or two.. enought to send the pucker factor to about 8 or 9 on a scale of 10. Anybody else ever had this happen? I was wondering if maybe there was a discharge out there.. I was probably 100' off the bank... Wont do that no more.

Sounds like something that happened to us in suckcreek one afternoon. Was going bout 35 which is all my boat will do and all of a sudden felt like we hit something but it made the boat go sideways for least four feet or more. We never saw anything floating so could have been a tree floating just underneath the surface in middle of the river and but there was no scratches or anything on the motor and we even went back to see what it was. Never even felt anything hit the boat at all. We thought it was weird cause it made us go sideways but whatever it was never stopped us..

The same things happens when you run by Racoon Mtn when they are pumping a lot of water. The eddys really pull the boat from side to side.
