Fishing below Chickamauga Dam to Chattanoonga

Thinking about going this afternoon after work and putting in behind the Naval reserve center to fish the area towards the Dam and down to downtown Chattanooga. any recommendation on bait choices this time of the year and locations to fish. Understand do not give away your honey hole just asking for area to fish not specific. thanks in advance.

If the current is flowing bang rocks with a cb or swimbait. if its calm hop a big worm or a jig

Caught 3 and one nice smallmouth near the dam. Threw a CB, shakey head and 4 inch grub that is what I caught the smallmouth on. It was hot today and the water was moving, difficult to fish slow. Thank you for the replies.
