Fishing below the Chick. dam 3/20

Not alot to report. I only had 2 bites,caught one of them. A nice 2+ largemouth on a jrekbait. My second bite was somesort of big fish. I hooked him in pretty shallow water,so I think it was a whopper of a largemouth but I never got a chance to really fight him. I jerked,felt that he or she was big and all it did was pull one good time and pop my line broke. No lie,that is the first fish in 2 years that has broke my line!! I was ticked emoBang . I guess you win some and you lose some. On the bright side of things, I did run into Rsimms and introduced myself. We chatted about the stripe(not biting yet) for a little bit and he headed towards the dam and I walked past the railroad bridge(my bass area). It was good to finally meet you Richard! I also met a guy by the name of Blake( I think) who frequently visits this website. Good guy,he's a big fan of fishing the Nickajack grass. I told him he needs to check out the big G.. I let him know he should sign up on here and join the madness!! emoParty

The big fish could have been a drum. The two I caught yesterday were in 2-3 feet of water. I actually say one of them flash as I set the hook. Very shallow.
