This is not a direct fishing discussion but its important with all of you all dropping your cell phones or falling in with them. I get a Verizon Gzone, made by Casio, and its Water Proof. Yes I said water proof. Put it under water in the pool to test it out, fine. Accidentally dropped it in the pool the next day, sank to 4 ft, still fine. I suggest looking into it with these phones being out on the water so much.

Until the next report.

Fish4thepeck needs one of those. Several Smallmouth @ Dale Hollow now have cell phones. A few largemouth @ Guntersville have them. He needs one that will also float. emoLaugh emoLaugh

i have 2 cell carriers sprint and verizon..got 2 new phones the same day. the motorola from sprint is already broke and the casio gzone from verizon is still tickin. have not gotten it wet but has been dropped, kicked, and just about anything else that you could do to a phone. it works great!

i also have the Gz1 an for me its my 13th phone im hope'n its as tough as what they say...so far so good.. ive lost 2 phones to sinclair 1 to lanier and if im not mistken the chick also ate one...haha it would be great if they would float....

Put your cell phone in a zip lock baggie and keep it in your pants pocket not your shirt pocket. It won't get wet and you won't loose it.

I have had the G-zone phone with verizon for about 6 months, and it is great. Battery lasts for a long time, takes great pics, and is waterproof/shockproof......dropped mine off a 6 foot ladder with just a few small scratches

I'm with Doc on this one,at the ramp ,put it in a zip bag and it goes in the storage comp,,only need it for emergency calls and not disturbing me when fishing, never lost one yet emoThumbsup emoThumbsup

i also have the GZone type s and it has been to the bottom of a 12 foot pool and i throw as hard as i can i have almost thrown it a whole football field it has it the pavement a bunch and been ran over. but still works i just try to break it... hahahahaha

Obviously someone else must be paying for your phone. emoScratch

After my cell hit the drink last year,I put it on a lanyard and wear it around my neck. Even when I'm not fishing.

The best advice I could offer is not to stand up front of the boat when docking while fishing with Blazer. He does this quick reverse thing right when you step off that will make you step back..... after he's 10ft from the dock! That's a for sure cell phone killer. I've seen these that Tyler is speaking off. Everyone I know that has one loves it and says the same great things about it. Gonna have to check that out when I next need another. I'm up to three/yr wasted to the water. So, it may be soon. And now we have a pool to contend with.....

i have a gz1 the best phone i have ever had droped it a bunch out of 18 wheeler and it still works my 4 year old hasnt been able to mess this one up yet and she can mess up a anvel with a rubber malet

Ive been through 6 phones over the past 3 yrs. Ive had my GzOne for over a year now and I am still HIGHLY impressed! Im rough on phones being in the construction business and an avid outdoorsman, and this GzOne will stand up to anything I have put it through yet!

I need one after thsi weekend, I went out and fell at the ramp in the water and now my phone is not right. Missing some keys that are valuable such as the 1 and 3. I now am considering this one

Verizon G'zOne is the tuffest most waterproof phone ever made. They can withstand a 12 foot drop to concrete and can be submersed in water for up to 30 minutes.
