Fishing on 7-11 with my fly rod on Chick at the Harrison Bluffs. Caught well over 100 Bream, but not all were keepers. Liked it so much, I went back today (7-12) with a friend. We were using crickets. We kept the bigger Bream to stock a pond for another friend. About noon, I noticed some of the fish were starting to die so we turned them all loose. We released over 40 big bream. Then we decided that it was too hot to fish so we called it a day and headed home. Might do it again tomorrow.emoToast

Was there a mayfly hatch going on? Sometimes this time of year there is and there is lots of action along the bluff. Was the action all day or was it just in the low light period?

Hey polo-dog. The willow flys were out but not flying. On Tuesday which was clouldy and raining, the Bream were everwhere. I bet i got hit on my fly every throw. But yesterday they only hit until 8:30 or so and then we had to fish 5 foot deep around the banks that had willow flys. And then we didn't get a lot of hits. Found most of the biggest Bream near the back of sloughs out from the bank. Hope this helps.
