Met Mr. T at his home in dayton monday AM and we got on the water about 8:00 and shortly after that he hooked up with 3 bass, B 4 I could connect with anything. after about 2 hrs we had caught a few bass and I hooked up with a 16 lb stripe. On 8 # line that was a lot of fun to say the least. and I also caught a nice 3 lb LM, but by the days end My friend Mr. T had the better day by about 15 fish. We ended up catching 20 bass and 14 crappie 1 nice stripe, a 12 Lb drum and a few other trash fish. All in all a cool but sucessful day out on the water with a good friend. All bass were caught on grubs, crappie were on some magical lure he had.

Sounds like an excellent day on the Chick! Grubs seem to be the "go-to" lure for this time of year.

The grub is a wonderfull thing when worked correctly and in the right spots expecially this time of year. I don't think color makes much of a differance but I tend to lean twards blue flash or tomato seed. Sounds like another great day on the chick. Try to find out the magical lure for crappie, i'm going in the mourning.

Hey shocker, what color were you using if you don't mind telling? That was a good day for the chick. Sounds like you got on them. What depth water and what type of area? (flat, bluff, river,...ex???) I have not found them like that recently and would love to know what I am doing wrong.emoThumbsup Jmax
