Thursday My partner and I caught 73 keepers in 5' to 8' of water. We caught a lot of large fish in the 1 1/4 to 1 3/4 lb. range including a 2.4 lb. sow that I released along with 13 of the other biggest ones. We caught them on #682 and #684 wooley booger jigs. I caught so many fish on one jig that I finally wore out the plastic body and still caught fish on just a hook with a feather. Then just for the fun of it I cut the feather off and Yep! I caught one on a bare hook!! The big fish were full of eggs and are just days from spawning.

I am fishing Ky lake. The limit is 30 and there were 2 of us. All of the other fish were released immediately.

What area of Ky lake was you on?Wouldnt down around the Springville Resort area was it?

I fish the camden area but all the creeks and bays have fish now as they are staging for the spawn.
