It looks like the Chick is down to full winter pool. Launched out of Grasshopper with the other rabble in the first CFF Tournament. Fog was a little heavy so I stayed near the ramp for 30 minutes or so with no luck. Ran over to Sale Creek and fished a jig and a jerkbait around rock/clay banks. The wind picked up around 10:00. Tossed a blade around laydowns with no success. Concentrated on a jig for the next couple of hours around rocks. Managed just one keeper with 4-5 others coming up short. Ran back over to Grasshopper and tried to force feed them a jerkbait again with no takers. Finally managed to catch a keeper Spot on a blade with 2 other LM 11-13 inches. It was a gorgeous day on the water. Fished against a great bunch of guys. We need to do this again real soon.

Pointer, it sounds like a great day to be out there. If you had it to do over again, what would you have done differently? Where do you think that they were or do you think that they were just shut off? Was there much activity on top during the day? I say that they turned the water generation off at noon, do you think that affected the fish that you were targeting? It sounds like you were on some good fish recently, had they moved?
