Okay everyone I'd like some opinions and thoughts... I'm in the market to buy a new rod and reel for bass fishing. I've always just bought a combo but they cheap never last. I have decided on a Abu Garcia revo for the reel but now I'm kinda lost on the rod I know everyone loves graphite rods but me and them don't get along to much I has the trend to snap them at some point or another so I'm wondering if there are any good fiberglass rods out there or any hybrid rods(glass as graphite) that I could look..also I'm sure if anyone builds custom rods pm me..I do know there are cheaper rods like an ugly stick that I know work great but I'd like the smaller eyes and long rod for them long beautiful cast

You should check out the Bass Pro Shops JM Carbonlight, or the Titatnium 8. Both are great rods that are super sensitive. They aren't a hybrid or Glass but the new RT4 graphite is amazing.

The Powell Inferno series are really great rods for the money. I have about ten various actions and power now. They are also technique specific as far as the action and power. The last two I got from djsmarineelectronics for $95 each!!!

Ditto on that. I bought a Powell Inferno 705 CB glass / composite rod from Johnny and I can toss traps and cranks on that rod all day. It's lightweight with a good balance and just enough backbone. I just haven't been bass fishing enough lately.
