cff tourney report
we started the morning in a marina on a shad spawn deal, Brian with a swim bait and i with a spook. caught 3 keepers and a couple of shorts in an hour or so. beat around in there some more but no more love. moved out to fishing ledges/drops and shell beds the rest of the day. could only catch 4 or 5 on a crankbait off a place/school before they broke up/scattered. tried other baits of course but the cb seemed to be the deal. Brian did catch one of the fish that we weighed out of a tree on a worm.
guys its that time of year to start using ice in your livewells, fin clips and be prepared to fizz your fish, as much of a beating as these fish take we need to do what we can to keep them alive.
