Charlie climbed in the boat for the morning and we ran around throwing topwater for a good bit in the morning. i was putting the Picsifun Mate baitcasting reel through its first workout and it did GREAT!!!! very pleased with the $40 reel.

we caught several fish on topwater. jumped out to look at some deep stuff but ddint see anything of interest and were near a marina so decided to skip a swimbait around in the marina a bit. ive been using the Piscfun Rapid for this technique and again very impressed with the performance of this reel. gonna swap it over to a flipping stick soon and see what it can do there. anyway caught fish skipping swimbait around on a jighead from True South Custom Lures. worked our way back into the back of a small creek arm and it looked too good not to fish, water willow (some sort of shoreline grass) along the shore. fished all the way around the back of the pocket and finally got one to eat a frog
back to the deep, jumped around looking for fish, stopped and threw on a few places. finally caught a few dragging plastics around, no giants but still fun. dropped Charley off and
beached the boat around noon.
i know ive mentioned the Piscifun reels a fair amount recently, i have been so impressed with their performance and price that i became a pro-staffer for them.
got out for a bit in the evening as the sun was going down and i was going to put it on the trailer, stopped on one ledge with a 5xd and knocked out about 12-15fish pretty much as fast a could get it in there fun way to finish the day.
