well i had planned on fishing the little derby today out of hbsp but i was stuck in the yard, NOT GOOD!. the neighbor brought his tractor over and puled me out. got the boat in the water around 1030. bounced around, just looking and wheeling a cb around some. got into an area with some pretty colored water and got out "The Roller" had one take a shot at it but not hook up. threw it around a good bit but i think water temp(44) still too cold for it. back to the cb and caught one 17" that choked it! got out a jig and did a bunch of flipping around. picked up Christine and Collin after he woke up from his nap and took them out for a bit. working down a rocky bank and hoked into big fish, saw what i thought was a green back and thought "oh this could be a 10!" but no, it was a big ole drum, a big one but just a drum. great to see the water back up and with some color, just wish it was about 5 degrees warmer.

Yeah sounds like we had the same day. The water I fished was chocolate milk and I had a couple 2lbers absolutely choke the trap! The water I was fishing got up to 52.1 and I hooked into a giant too that ended up being a drum!
