have gotten out the last couple of evenings to sit on one point and catch schoolies, lots of fun to catch them on topwater. the little ones sound like big ones when they hit it, so awesome. and the fish very been VERY acrobatic lately.

pulled up on the point yesterday evening, first cast, threw it out there, twitched it a couple of times and then Collin needed help with is rod, started to set my rod down but noticed my line was tight, lifted the rod and felt the fish :) started reeling and when Collin said "i'll get this one you take mine" LOL!!! so he reeled it in and we got his rod straightened out. made 2 more casts and caught a fish on each cast. then the boy decides he doesnt want to fish, he wants to go swimming.....UGH!!!! but heck its about spending time with him and not so much about catching fish. took him across the way to a little pea gravel area so he could swim and play, we played for a bit, i worked on rigging my ultrex back up while he played some more. finally decided try and fish some more before calling it a night but there were 3 boats on that point by this time. so we rode around and scanned for some more fish. dropped the boy off at 830 and headed in.

Good for you, that is great. I didn't go to school many Tuesday's. It was my Dad's day off. We didn't have a boat....didn't matter...we beat the banks of Douglas Lake. Fondest memories...great times. Someday, if not already, you will feel the same.
