went over for the ram open series tournament, practiced on friday and game day yesterday.

started friday morning on a bridge and caught a keeper pretty quick on a red crankbait, moved on to some isolated grass patches i had found last week, caught a 4 1/2lber. spent pretty much the rest of the day graphing isolated grass patches and grass points. got around the creek channel drop where i caught the one fish last week and decided to make a few casts. made 5 casts had 2 studs(7 and 9ish). due to cold weather they changed time to 8-4pm, ran straight to the channel drop to find a boat sitting directly on top of the drop. bounced around a bit until he moved and got over there about 45mins later. caught one keeper on the first pass with the red cb. camped on it and had to play defense(which always messes up my fishing) til noon, shouldve left sooner. started running the grass stuff but no love. back to the channel drop at 230, crappie fisherman in the vicinity affecting boat position, finally left it t 4pm with 1 fish in the boat, due in at 430. jumped over to a grass point and caught 2 on back to back casts.made a few more casts and jumped 2-3 more grass patches before heading back in. ended up with 3 fish for 9lbs. i think had there not been so much boat pressure around that drop those fish might have moved back up, i had hoped to be able to jump round and give that place time to rest while running other stuff but obviously thats not how it went down.

72 boats, 24 to win(Greg Lamb)(if i remember correctly), 13 to get a check is what i heard
