went down friday to try and get a clue for saturday. spent a bunch of time shallow and caught fish but they were all smaller males, even got a frog bite and caught 5 on a buzzbait. the only quality/keepers bites i got were around docks on points in 4-6 fow(to include a 10lb carp that SMOKED a t-rigged senko, fun fight). cant say i ever really got a clue on what to do but felt like needed to stay "out" more. tried to spend more time fishing the outside edges of the eel grass and isolated patches of eel grass. did bounce around a bit, trying to fish the conditions. caught one about 4lbs around the shallower poles of a dock on the pro-shimmy jig but couldnt reproduce it. caught one more keeper on a lipless cb out of some grass and that was it for keeper bites for me. sucked! 2 fish for 6.5lbs, took 30+ to win.
gotta throw out a huge THANKS! to Jerry aka Strato-G for the help on the saturday afternoon. the air conditioning compressor locked up on my suburban and Jerry and his wife were nice enough to swing by and pick up a belt for me on their way out of town.
thanks to "Chirs" from chick area(i think, im horrible with names anyway and had so much going through my head at the time) for stopping to check on me.
nothing like having to do roadside repairs after a bad day of fishing
