Well what can I say,we sucked it up 99% of the day ! We started out near the blue bridge fishing rip rap, after an hour I got 1 spot(11 inches) on a new chatterbait(white). From there we headed towards the dam and fished the channel grass,John landed the fattest 14 3/4 inch bass i've ever seen! That fish had to weigh over 2 pounds, but was short emoAngry After that we trveled all the way up to Mocasin bend and hit some lay downs and other assorted structure, without a bite. Well we headed back towards the ramp with an hour to spare we hit some milfoil edges. We weren't there 2 minutes and his wife decided to call him(and yes he picked it up) what o you think happened next.. He hooks into a good one, probably 4 to 5 lbs but he was on the phone and didn't get a good hookset and one flip of the fish and it was off!emoVomit well as soon as it comes off I hook into one, luckily I landed mine! It was our only keeper.emoThumbsup He ended up going 2.17lbs. I got him on a pumkin/chartuese mag II zoom. All in all a tough day,but I have never fished that far down on Nickajack,so I knew nothing. Had a good time, got to see some of my CFF buddies and not only did I get to fish all day,but I got to watch some great football the rest of the day!! Go Vols!!emoToast
