Saturday I fished Parksville with Jeff Hightower. Wanted to see what I could get on an Alabama rig and also to see if the Float n Fly bite had turned on yet. The fly bite is pretty good, but most just small ones with a random 2lber mixed in. Enough action to keep you entrtained. The A-rig bite was non existant. But there is a solid jerkbait bite going. Jeff's first cast he caught a solid 2.5lb spot. Not 10 minutes later he lands a beautiful 7.2lb largemouth ! Great way to start the day !! Needless to say Jeff was very excited ! I was too, always like knowing I ( kinda ) helped put somone on fish. The rest of the day I threw the fly and he threw jerkbaits. Caught 20 plus fish, but just the one giant. Great day regardless.
Sunday I fished from sunrise until 2:30 on Chickamauga. Fished with Davo. Things started off great. Combined we had a nice little limit of bass on an Alabama rig. Biggest one was 3.50lbs. Moved around a bit and finally found a buch big bass busting up shad in dead grass mats. You would have thought we were going to load the boat with toads ! We both were throwing frogs and would get huge blow ups, but the fish were not connecting and wouldn't ever come back if they missed. Really frustrating. When I finally hooked one it felt big and was tearing up the area , but it just pulled off. David finally landed one . It was a hair over 4lbs. That was about it for that day.
Today I wanted revenge on those fish from Sunday. Got out after work about 4pm. Frog bite was non existant. I started throwning an A rig around. Got a good bump, I set the hook and my fish was off to the races ! It fought and pulled drag just like a striper, so that's what I figured I had. Well ,I was pleasently suprised when I saw a giant bass !! Got it in , snapped some picture and weighed her. My new personal best !! 8.3lbs. After I calmed my nerves I kept on and got into a ton of schoolers. Ended up catching some white bass and hybrid and called it a day. Been a fun three days !

Not sure why my second picture is showing up sideways. If anyone wants to fix it, feel free.(Fixed, Jmax emoAngel )
