After changing the flat tire on my trailer 3ft from i75, I am going to invest in a 12 volt jack. I used the Expeditions scissors jack and it sucked! Wondering if anyone had any experience with them. Seen BassPro sells two of them.

I thought you had a tandem axle trailer. If you do, why are you using a jack? Just loosen the lugs and place a wood block in front of/or behindthe inflated tire andmove the trailer up on the block. Remove and replace tire, tighten lugs as much as possible, move trailer off block/blocks, re-tighten lugs and you are off.

You can also us a block of wood on a single axle, but it requires two people.

Carl, how big of a block? 4x4? I know they sell these "lifters" for RV's....and had a blow-out on the dam on mine. Thank you guys in the T-dot trucks for all that help----NOT! Anyway, I was wondering if one of those ramps, that you use to change oil, etc would work, my trailer weighs approx....8000#.

look up boat trailer jacks, I use one that is a rocker stlyle, just place it under front or rear of tire, pull forward or back up to lift ..this will elevate the axle with flat tire for removal. There is also a rocker style that you place under the axle for single axles, pull forward to lift axle.........anything with voltage means more equiptment and cables to stretch out 20 plus feet plus storage. The jacks I mentioned will store in the boat lockers........... emoGeezer emoUSA

It takes up a little room but I bought one of those plastic ramps you drive up on and carry that when I am trailering. Northern Tractor supply Walmart carry them.

I use a 4x4 block app. 16" long. I cut one end on a 45 degree angle because it makes it easier to back or pull onto. I also use it for a tire chalk when I need to leave the trailer.

I bought a single axle because I needed maneuverability until I cleared some land. I have seen the axle jacks, wasn't sure how well they worked. If I had a tandem (won't be too far away), I wouldn't have been changing that flat 3 feet from i75, would have putt putted down the road a tad. Thanks for the info..

Fuzzy I use the rocker style that fits under the axle. It is very easy and works well. The only concern is that you must be on something solid so the rocker jack doesn't sink into the mud.

I wonder how fast you could have been back on your way if you had the Boat US membership withtrailer assist ? I've seriously been considering a membership that includes trailer assist.
