Fished Mud Creek today, had to take out about 2:00. I got to the ramp and there were a couple old black guys with their boat tied up, waiting to load up. They were rigged up for crappie and I asked how they did. Four bites and now this, someone played a joke on us or something, this guy says.
They have 2 flat tires on the side of their truck that doesn't face the water Had to call home to get his wife to pick him up so he could get his truck and come back with a compressor. The tires didn't look like they were slashed.
They said they had it handled , but didn't know why someone would do this. I asked if they ticked someone off on the water- they didn't think so.
I looked at their truck when I was leaving- Obama- Biden sticker, you don't think? It happened, get over it.

I fished from Mud creek Monday 3-9-09 with a friend and when we came back to to the ramp at 3:00 both tires on drivers side where flat. I had to replace both tires. Looked like someone took small knife to the sidewalls. We put in 45 minutes before daylight and I pretty sure we didn't make anyone mad at us either. Someone please respond if you have any info. You can PM me ( blade )

I got my trailer stolen down at marion county park about 9 years ago. Me, my dad, and brother went out cat fishing and parked at the old ramp at the park. Gone 45 minutes and came back. Cop was there and started talking to my dad about a trailer that got stolen just a little while before at the ramp below the dam. Cop started driving off cause my dad said we we fine, that was before he notice my trailer was gone!!! They stole the battery out of my dads truck and I had to take one out of the boat. There was a van parked there that had followed us in. Cop went and talked to him. Of courser nothing seen. Then the cop left. Started to leave with brother and dad and decided to stay there to watch the boat. Good thing I did. As soon as they were out of site the van started up and started coming towards the ram. I dove in the boat and started it and shot out in the water then cut it off. The guy came over there and was looking for the boat. My mom had figured out they had the trailer just down the road, then when I left to get help they would bring the trailer back and load up the boat. Good thing I wasn't by myself!!!! I would have been boatless!!!. Sad part is I pulled the boat from Nashville just to take my dad fishing as I lived in Nashville!!

Shoot em! Its a shame you have to work all week then thieves take advantage of us when we ar just trying to relax. I say shoot 'em!

is this Mud Creek on Guntersville? I have never had a problem there. Seems like there is always someone there either at the BBQ place or the Marina. Assuming this is the same place, it probably happend before anyone was at the Marina shop or the restaraunt. I havent used that ramp in a long time but I will keep this in mind.

It almost makes it worth it to put in at Comer and run up to Mud, cheaper than replacing tires.

Chisenal Springs ramp used to be real bad with theft till they cut the brush and trees out so you can see the parking lot from the road.

I never had problems at the Mud Creek ramp in all the years i duck hunted down there, but the little pull off ramp in the back of Crow Creek was bad. Lost two windows and a bunch of hunting stuff there. Before they built the new ramp at the bridge it got bad down in that hole. Oh my! the things headlights would light up at 4am on a saturday morning. Local wildlife at its finest!
