Flatheads, channel, blue, and White cats? What is a white cat?

New issue of GON came today. There is an advertisement for a cat TX in White County GA. They claim they are the cat capital of GA, but they are offering an additional prize for any state or world record catfish in the above catagories. What is a white catfish??emoScratch

Me and a freind of mine were just talking about this the other day. I hope someone knows the correct answer. I have heard them called mississippi white cats. I wonder if they are just pale blues???

According to google: A member of the bullhead group of catfishes, the white catfish is usually blue-gray ... The white catfish is sometimes mistaken for the channel catfish.......

It is another species of catfish, mostly found on Atlantic and I believe Gulf drainages. The ones I have seen from the Potomac are look very much like small channels. The whites just barely get to eating size, and not any bigger.
