Went to watts bar Friday morning to try out my new to me boat. We took out of the ramp and went up the lake around 730 am. Bite was slow we caught 5 fish 2 smallies and 3 LM all keepers bouncing a light weight Shakey and robo worm. I don't fish watts bar much so names of sloughs and creeks we fished are unknown to me. But the boat done great and atleast we caught some fish. By the posts about chick we made the right move going to watts. Lol

I agree as well just curious to everyone else's opinion on it. Anyone have a guess when they will be in the grass? When you can go and punch for fish and actually catch some? Haha

From what I have herd punching has been actually pretty good if u have the patience and on the right Mat the frog bit will get better when it gets a little cooler and the grass thins out more I was catching them on a frog last year in late October and November

I'm going after em Friday morning and that's the tactic I'm gonna use. I'm hoping to find the right mat. Do you guys mainly fish lower end of the lake towards Harrison bay?
