I'm planning on making a trip to the jacksonville area soon. I was wondering what are some good colors and lures to pack or pick up.emoScratch emoThanks ,

If you are going anywhere near the St Johns River,You need Live River SHINERS and A 25 lb LINE # 5 offset Hooks
and a Heavy Rod ,Float the shinners against rhe pads, using a baloon for float Drop that shiner about 30" down, and HANG ON, If you think, thats a fairy tale, come see a 12 lb Largemouth on my office Wall. I Fished that area for years with the Chattanooga Bass Club. I hope you have a ball. P M me when you get back.
Lots of luck!
John

A 3 oz. gator spoon is good for blues this time of year.Use 40 lb. mono for a leader. My current favorite inshore lure is the mirrolure sinker.I had one in a blue and white speckled pattern that was deadly on trout until a tarpon took it away from me last Thanksgiving.

me and my son are planning a trip this summer anybody know any good areas or guide services to use?

Anyone going to the panhandle, Id recommend " Fish on Charter Service" in Greyton Beach, Its near Destin and one of the few small fishing towns left in that area. Its a father- son team who operate 18 ft center console boats. We,ve been several times and limited out on snapper and grouper on a four hour trip. If anyone is interested you can Pm me for the number or more info.
