Fly fishing Nickajak 7-9

My son and I used our fly rods on Nickajack yesterday. Caught10 to 12 Bass with about that many big Bream. We found a few willow flies up river from Hales bar but no where else. Only fished within a half mile in either direction of Hales bar. Had to quit a little after 11am because of all the boat and jet ski traffic. I don’t see how anyone can enjoy fishing on the weekends.

it is extremely hard to try and enjoy fishing on the weekends. i try to make every possible effort to go out on weekdays. did fly fish sat upriver from raccoon mtn and caught several bass (small), big bluegill and big shellcracker around most docks. the big cruisers ran me off around 1 pm.
