First off, it was great to see everyone. A little cool start for a May tourney. Chad and I made a sort run to our first spot and got 3 keepers pretty quickly on chatterbaits in shallow water. We made a sort move to our second spot and Chad catches a keeper spot that was about 2 lbs. we move to our third spot and we start catching fish flipping shallow docks and I make the decision to cull the spot,, (bad decision) as it would have been the only spot weighed in for the day.. we move around a little more looking for a bigger bite and cull a few more time by oz’s. Never could get a good bite. We had a really fun day we probably caught 30+ fish on chatterbaits, square Bill, Texas rig, and Carolina rig. All fish caught were shallow 5ft or less. Congrats to Pete for the win and all who finished in the money. My decision to not keep the spot cost us however Chad won the free entry for the next tourney,. See everyone and the next one .....by the way Pete I will be following you...lol.

2 lb. Spot that's a good fish but can't keep all of the fish just a judgement call

Ya'll had a good day catching. Enjoyed the chance to visit, interesting conversation on the merits of favorite adult beverages.

Dang. y'all caught 'em good. I'm with you on the spot dilemma. it is a gamble either way. we ran into the same thing this tournament. had a really nice one in the box.

You can follow me if you want to. But if you like catching fish, you might get a little bored. The upper nick at night has not gone that great for me the last couple years. My Brownfish have been shunning me at night down there lol.
