Well not what we were expecting, we had pre-fished the weekend before and had a pretty solid pattern. we were last boat out and deiced to head to our first spot, pulled up and started pitching to lay-downs close to deeper water and nothing we stayed until 8.30 or 9:00 decided to make a move to our second spot deeper dock with some brush. only found a few small and around 11:00 something started busting around us and i pick up a crank bait and finally pick up our first keeper then nothing else decide to make another move to a secondary point. ..nothing no bait....nothing ...decide to make another move by now it 12-12:30 and we only have one in the box we catch a few more shorts and finally i have a keeper hit the square bill, we end up with 2 in the box for a little over 4lbs.. we saw a ton of bait but noting around it we threw everything we could think of TX rig shaky head, spinner-bait, jerk-baits, cranks, square-bills, top water....not much wanted to play for us. I did notice the water was down it appeared to be about a foot maybe more and i believe that pulled our fish off of the cover we had been fishing. We have been stuck on 2 keeper fish for the last 3 TX's so i got home Sat and decided to empty the boat out and wash the bad juju off of it .. now its drying and ready to go...Congrats to the winner and congrats on the giant fish...we will try again at the next one emoCrazy
