Finally have one coming at a good price. Evinrude wanted $900 for a new one. emoEek emoHoppingmad Found a couple local but missing a tooth or two for $300.... emoScratch Wouldn't that just lead to the problem I have now? Been searching the web and finally found one where a guy was parting out his engine after blowing the block. Sold it to me for $80.00....that is more like it. emoSmile Hopefully will be here by this weekend and can get it changed out and back on the water. Seems I am always fixing something. emoBooHoo Jmax

get yourself a mercury. just kidding, you don't know if he had the lower unit still left do you i am looking for one. i thought i had found one and drove 1 1/2 hours to pick it up and the guy could not find it when i got there and said he must of sold it so i was SOL and 3hours drive time plus gas.

Yea, I did get lucky on the price of that one. emoAngel I took it to Andy Buck who told me if I got the part he would put it on if I ran by and had it with me. He checked out my engine while he had it. emoThumbsup Took the old one off, put the new one on, checked and adjusted the timing and hooked it up on the computer. I am also having a problem with the dang motor not wanting to start. emoScratch Has a new starter and fully charged battery but it drags like the battery it almost dead. emoBang Andy told me he thinks it is a solenoid going out. I hope that is what it is, he said that is an easy fix. I also need a new gas bulb and oil bulb. emoRolleyes Pretty soon I will have a new engine...everything on this one will have been replaced. emoDoh Andy is going to get that for me and have me run it back by. Works out good to go by and have it done while you wait. emoToast Jmax

Yep, you'll have a whole new engine and then it will start over. Do yourself a favor and drop the engine in the lake and troll back in. FichtMax !!!!
