It was a cold and crowded start on the lake for the second Fellowship of Christian Bass Anglers tournament of the year out of Chickamauga Dam. Overall, we had a great turnout but a slow day, but some good fish were weighed in. Haden Lamb (BullMerc225)and Logan Kokoszka won first place with 2 good fish right at 8 pounds. Todd Driver (GoBigOrange) had the big fish with a 5lb 9oz spotted bass. They were followed by Lance Elam/Robert Lewallen andMark/Tommy Vaughn. Thanks to all who came out, we had a slow day fishing but a few good fish and some great fellowship before and after. I even survived all day on the lake with my wife, and both of us survived unscathed for the most part.

Most anglers found it to be very tough day with the wind and the crowd on the lake. A few pictures are posted below as well.

I agree when I first saw it I said no way...but it had a distinct tongue patch...It is the first pic. What made it stand out to me was how wide that fish was. The pic does not do it justice. The one Haden caught was 2-3 inches longer, but was not quite as chunky.

Haden and Logan were sitting where I wanted to start that morning. We saw them catch one of those fish. emoDoh I got as close as I thought was acceptable but decided to leave it with them, I did not like being that close. The Tenn Team Tour started after them apparently, they got there first. I am glad to see those two young'uns win one.

Fella's we were in the gold Ranger with the red and green stripes. emoBigsmile Jmax

Jmax, I am sure they appreciate the courtesy. My wife and I had one boat today that seemed to want to get within 20 yards of us everywhere we went. Started out on the bluff, then outside the yacht club. I was pretty perturbed by it.

I caught that fish about thirty minutes into the tournament on a Jig in about five feet of water. After that i only got one more 14 inch bite all day long. Tough day.

According to the state of Tennessee any bass with a tooth patch is a Spot.
