I have said it before and I will say it again..."The Lord does work in mysterious ways."emoAngel After loosing my Helmet the other day on the Chick and posting my trip, I was contacted by OUT4FUN and he informed me that a fellow he knew had sold his boat and was selling some of his fishing stuff as well. He had a helmet and OUT4FUN told me he would check if he wanted to sell it. Well sure nuff...he said yes he would and he would take $20 for it.emoTongue I called him and he ran it by my house after he got out of church this past Sunday. It is a black one and XL to boot.emoBigsmile Has a better shield becuase this one can flip up, my old one was a snap on that did not. That was a heck of a deal and I am back in business for those cold morning.emoApplause I still think and believe that the Lord needed me to loose that helmet so whoever found it would have one.emoAngel Thanks for the help there, OUT4FUN.emoToast Jmax

Jim there are several lessons to be learned from your experience. This is how my mind works sometimes.

Losing your helmet;
Helped the person that found it
Helped the person you bought the new one from
Helped you and out4fun become friends
Taught you to secure your stuff on the boat before you take off
Taught people reading this that God is good "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

Cheez, your mind and my mind runs in the same vein. Great to share this with others.

There is a saying in Christian circles that when God shuts one door, he always opens a window for you. We had a pastor from Florida at our last meeting that said that his Momma told him this and he said that he knew it but it was the "hallway of hell" that you have to go through to get to the window that was his concern. This is the time when our character is tested. This is the time for our trusting that the Lord is doing the right thing for us.

Wished that I had time to talk about the word character, but not in this forum.
Thanks, Cheez. emoGeezer

And it helps the rest of us in a couple of ways.................keeps a notice in the back of our minds to secure stuff in the boat, so we don't go through the same situation, and it also lets us know that there are still good people out there willing to keep an eye on us through even the smallest of tribulations.

In that reason alone is why I love this place and it's posters. emoGrouphug
