I am so disappointed in AR I was seeing red yesterday. Those big boys up front did a fairly good job of protecting Allen yesterday. The Hogs had the game won but the Hogs secondary on defense truly sucks. emoBang A&M figured out that if they sent their fastest outs haling down field the Hogs secondary would allow them to get behind them and they could win the game. emoAngry This seems to be happening on every game here lately. Then if they back off they seem to back off too far and give them so much cushion they get killed on small short passes 5 to 8 yards a pop. My Hogs are really lacking in this area. Then throw in injuries, looks like it is going to be another one of those coulda, shoulda, woulda been years. emoMad .

Tennessee played not to lose. Florida played to win. You play to win the game. It comes down to coaching.
There were somethings done coaching wise that I wouldnt have done but coaching didnt lose the game. Poor tackling lost the game. The defense looked great for three quarters. The last Florida offensive play was a 4th and 15. The Vols didnt make a tackle and the Gators not only make a first down they score the winning touchdown.
The Vols have to learn how to finish the game. I think the Vols learned a tough lesson Saturday. The season is a long way from over. GO VOLS!

Going into yesterday teams this season was 188-2 with at least a 13 point lead in the 4qt Now teams are 188-3. The second half looked a whole lot like the Ok game. It comes down to coaching.

So you are saying the coach is supposed to cover the receiver and make the tackle? If we make the stop on 4th and 15 the Gators turn the ball over and they have 1 timeout left. We simply take a knee and let the clock run out, Vols win. I like the direction the Vols are heading. I am not happy with the way the game ended and I am sure the players and coaching staff arent either. I do think we have the best head coach we have had in years. They finally pulled out the stops and let Dobbs do his thing. I for one am a VFL and like I said the season is far from over. GO VOLS!

I bleed Orange. You cant blame that game on one play. The 4th quarter was
a disaster. Go for two it doesn't matter if up by 12 or 13. Two touchdowns still beat you.
Everyone knew what plays the offense was going to run. On fourth down play we had a spy
on the qb. Even the announcers question that defense. Clock management was a joke.
I agree our coach is better than the last 2. We have 8 games left we will know at the end of
the season what we have.

I agree there are several things we could have done that would have changed the out come of the game. But a tackle on that one play ends the game. One thing to remember is the Gators are a good team and they had a hand in how the game turned out. It isnt like we just decided to let them win. They did what they had to do. They made the plays. The one thing I saw that I didnt like, was in the 4th qtr. the Gators faked injuries to get timeouts and catch their breath. At the end of the game #4 jumps up after a play and starts to jog back to the huddle, then he looks toward the side lines, starts limping and lays down. They get a time out, he limps off the field for one play and then returns the follow play and catches the pass and runs for a touch down. Then after the score and celebration he trotts off with a slight limp. He was one of 3 players that used this in the 4th qtr. All of them returned to the game within a couple of plays. That isnt what beat us but I did find it odd and finally one of the announcers said something about how #4 suddenly pulled up hurt and wasnt touched on the play.

Is it just me and Florida's defense or did anyone else notice that the coaches have no confidence in Dobbs throwing the football. Florida knew he wasn't going to throw and they sold out to stop the run when the vols needed a first down late, they had no thoughts of passing! You can't win in the sec with a QB that can't pass. Butch Jones is a snake oil salesman. Great recruiter! He could sell ice to the Eskimos. But can't coach. In his third year his record is the same as Dooley's was but he has better talent. Don't forget Dooley beat him when he was at Cincinnati and he had better talent than Dooley did!!!

Jones has no balls late in the game he tries to run out the clock with the most predictable offense in the nation. I would rather have lost on a pick 6 because at least we would have went down with a fight rather than just giving them the ball. The officials did kill us they stood over the ball as the clock was running and didn't let us snap and when we did they flagged us was very bad missed call

One tackle would not have won the game, he had the first down as soon as he caught the ball on 4th and 15. If we make a tackle it's 1st and 10 gators and they have over a minute to score. Missing that tackle gave us a chance to make a winning field goal and instead we crap our pants when the clock starts running out just like every other game
