Hahahahahahahahaha.. The SEC looks terrible today GA looked not very good against Vandy. Auburn squeaked by a FCS opponent. TN looks good against oklahoma, that's the only bright spot and I hate TN
They stunk it up bad! emoBadLanguage Turn overs, holding calls often, interceptions, high snap turnovers, dropped passes, big blockers beat with speed, the list is longer then I want to admit....let's just say they could not get their s@*t together! looked like 8th graders in the second half.their conditioning sucked.

It appeared both teams have some serious improving to do. I am use to AR doing that. I have watched them for years go up against teams they should loose against and win. Then they go up against a team where they should win like Toledo and loose like some wiped dog with their tails between their legs. Looked like on that one there, someone forgot to tell Toledo they were suppose to loose by 21 points and someone also forgot to tell my piglets they could loose that game. emoBang Jmaxflpper

Watched Tenn. lay down in the second half. Protecting a lead???? I didnt think Jones woulda done that. Guess I was wrong; it cost them a game they coulda and shoulda won. They actually handed Ok the momentum and the game!??

Haters are going to hate. Carl must have had his heart broken by a Vol at some point in his past. emoPoke The Vols still lack depth at several positions. OK is a TOP 25 Team, not some Jr College. The Vols poor performance in the second half was due to pre snap penalties and OK brought more pressure. 1st or 2nd and 15 is much easier to defend than 1st or 2nd and 2. The refs helped OK in the 2nd half. The pass interference call in the end zone was bad. That pass hit the brick wall, no way that was catchable. OK also had an obvious false start that wasnt called. Should have been 3rd and 8 not 3rd and 3. The loss of Kirt on defense hurt the Vols. I hope he isnt out for long. The Vols are much better than they were last year and there is still a lot of football to play. I do think this loss will make them much tougher. I still think the Vols are headed in the right direction, they are not quiet where they want to be but they will be there sooner than later. Like I said haters going to hate. Just dont jump on the VOL train when it gets rolling again. I have been a Vol fan my entire life. Win or Lose I am a fan. It is good to see the improvement in the Vols. They lost a tough game last night. But we didnt get beat by 21. OK left with a win but they know they were in a tough fight and that they caught some breaks to get the win.

You cant call me a hater; I want the 10-2 record some analysts predicted. And yes your points were valid. But if you dont believe the types of plays called in the second half werent *conservative* at best, then we were t watching the same game. OK offense was struggling until mid 4th quarter and run right, run left, run up the middle, mixed in with screen passes that took way too long to develop gave OK only one dimension to defend. Dont think Butch's job is or should be in jeopardy, just disappointed in a disappointing loss that shouldnt have been.
The kicker has consistently struggled really hurt ut I believe at 20-3 ok doesn't come back. However I believe we should have went for it 4 and goal on 1 to start game that would have been another 4 points In out favor. When you have teams on the ropes you have to know when and how to rip their throats out
Dont get me wrong. I was way past disappointed at the loss. It shouldnt have happened. It is the biggest blown home lead in UT history. I am also we past ready for the 10-2 or 11-1 seasons again. You werent the one I was calling a hater and agree with you that Butch's job is safe for now. The season isnt over. It is one loss and I wasnt impressed with how most of the SEC played yesterday. The Vols can still win the East. We still lack depth. That will come next year and I am like most Vol fans I am tired of waiting on next year. We can thank Kiffin and Dooley for the mess Butch was handed. Depth is when you rest a Sr and replace him with another Sr or a Jr. In many cases we take a true Sophomore out and a true Freshman takes his place. We are still playing 22 true Freshmen. These kids were playing high school ball this time last year. I dont know of any other SEC team doing that. Next year we should have some 3 deep positions, that will help late in the game. I do think we should have thrown down the field in the second half but to many times we were behind the chains and a deep pass requires the O line to block and give the QB time. That didnt happen in the 2nd half. When you the defense knows you are going to pass it makes it tough on the O line. 2nd and 15 is a good clue you arent running up the middle. I had a bad feeling at the end of the 3rd quarter and it came to pass. We should have executed better. I hope this loss hurt the players bad enough to teach them something about finishing. I do agree the field goal kicker is a weak spot and I hope he can improve. I am looking forward to the rest of the season. GO VOLS!
Here is a good reason in part the Piglets lost yesterday. It is not a good thing when the head coach is quoted as saying in part that the ranked SEC games are the only ones that really matter. Crap, wonder what he is thinking this morning. emoBang Jmax

He ate his own words when he said Ohio State had a cupcake schedule. Every game matters, believe or not I've seen it with the bulldogs, we seem too have a let down game every year.

Wait until you see more SEC match ups! It is about to the point that SEC teams are getting closer to "even" in talent. We don't have that one big power house that is head and shoulders above the rest of the schools. Unlike other conferences have that one great team, the SEC beats each other up and any SEC team is a good match for any body else in the league. I'm not sure who to beat up in the Oklahoma game, I agree with others that we tried to sit on a 14 point lead and got very conservative in our play calling; but they did that all last year anytime they got a good lead. Yes, we are a very young team but there is still a problem in the coaching staff, just not sure where....................
Hindsight always 20:20. Tennessee played like a typical young football team will play. 64% of the team is either true freshmen or red shirt freshmen and these kids were playing a top notch program. Remember, Oklahoma kicked Alabama arse a couple of years ago in the Sugar bowl or did your forget that?
The only ones questioning whether Butch Jones should be coach or not are holdover Fulmer fans and he should have been fired about 6 or 7 years before he was. I wish the Tennessee fans had more class and weren't like Alabama fans or Georgia fans or Vandy fans. Lest people haven't forgotten, Fulmer teams went 5-7 2 out of the last 3 years before he finally got fired. Left the program in a mess because he got lazy recruiting, then the Kiffin and Dooley fiasco. Butch had to start his first year with no returning linemen on either offense or defense.
He has only recruited top 5 classes the past two years and another good one in the making. Get off Coach Jones' back and start supporting Georgia or Alabama. I am a Tennessee fan, but Tennessee fans make me sick. emoHoppingmad emoGeezer emoVomit
