When Ronald Reagan took office he ran his campaign partly on the idea of how the debt had grew to 900 billion. When he left office his administration left behind a 3.5 trillion dollar debt. Still had abortion, in Tennesse you had to wait two weeks to get a hand gun. When Bush Sr left office debt 4.5 trillion, still in Tennessee 2 week waiting period on a hand gun. Clinton takes office, leaves office after 8 years with a 5 trillion dollar debt, get a hand gun in 30 miniutes. Bush takes office after eight years we have a 12.5 trillion dollar debt, still have abortion, and you can get a hand gun in thirty minutes. Republican Presidents have overseen over 9 trillon of the 12.5 trillion debt in twenty of the last thirty years. Republicans do a good job of selling one thing, while doing the other. Where were all these tea party people when Bush was in office, I will tell you, they are the same ones who were accusing Dems for being unpatriotic, because they did not appropriate every dime Bush ask for, hypocracy at its greatest. Now that Obama is in office, well time to be fiscally consevative again. For Republicans they think they are the only ones who can spend tax payer dollar, and lead men to war and still have a clear concious. Abortion a Presidential issue is a joke, gun issue for the brain washed, hope you guys don't fuel another Timothy McVey or Randolf. Are the dems perfect heck know, we all bicker while those sitting at the table stir all this up, and laugh at those of us carrying the load. What Obama is doing now is exactly what Reagan had to do 30 years ago. Become more efficient with energy, regulate unions and big bussiness so they would become more competitive, and end the arms race with Russia, in our case Middle East problems. Health care has gotten out of control, gone. For some health care or the ability to pay 1000 a month for insurance is impossible. It is time to come together and forget about how it is all about me, and think of the working people of our nation, many who are doing so in poverty, and without health care, many who are small bussiness owners like Joe the plumber. Fox news and Rush are ruining the Republican party in my opinion. It use to stand for something other than greed.

First of all the national debt still isnt 12.5 trillion. When Bush left office it was 10.6 right now it is at 11.8. You were right about him adding almost 5 trillion to the national debt though. However if the debt continues to grow like it has thus far under Obama he will aquire 6.4 trillion in FOUR years and thats without all the healthcare and other "free" money. I think all the politicians need an economics lesson personally. Right now everyone in the US would have to pony up somewhere around 38,000 to settle everything up. If you really wanna see how scary it is go to this website and just hit your refresh button a few times as fast as you can and see how much the debt goes up every time you click it. Total crap

From what I understand we can not print enough money to pay off the debt, with present capabilities. Once again we are going to have to become more efficient. I went to the doctor not long ago. I have blue cross, and John Deere as a supplimental. Went into see a skin specialist for him to tell me I was ok, left the office and still had to pay a 50 dollar co-pay, because of my primary ins. They said the visit would have been around 180 without ins. For what? I did not have a referral from another doctor that couldn't make a profit. You folks are pointing fingers at polititions while we are getting raped by oil componies, wall street, insurance componies, medical field, and so on. There was no reason we should have paid what we paid for energy several years ago. Health care cost are just redicuious. Rober Barrons is the problem, with polititions in there back pocket. History is repeating itself, just like the Rockerfellers, Carnigies, Vanderbilts, and so on. Lets face it most of us can not afford what they are selling. Maybe what we need is a Jessie James :)

It is free trade that is killing us..... we can not compete against slave labor. Chinese goods(sic) are way cheaper to produce than American goods.

Thank you emoThumbsup But both parties refuse to do anything about it. Why because it was a Bipartisan bill
