Ever tied a Kreature-style bait? This is my second attempt at one. This particular jighead weighs approximately 1/8 of an ounce. The yarn is a little thinner up front than I would really like.

My materials include:
* Coats Moda Dea Zing - Midnight
* Lion Brand Fun Fur - Olive
* 140 denier, olive, flat-waxed thread
* Maybelline Express Finish - Go Go Green
* Arkie Baby Craw Soft Craw Trailer (2-inch) - Watermelon/Black
* 1/8 or 1/4-ounce unpainted jig
One reccommendation. Purchase a tool like this one at a craft store. I'd avoid ones with plastic handles that appear to be assembled.

It's a paper-piercing punch. A one-piece, machined-metal, needle tool with a dimpled grip. I use it to pick the eye lash fibers out from under the yarn wraps. It works pretty well. Brushing the threads back will help you to avoid a rat's nest appearance. But, some (if not many) will remain over-wrapped beneath the yarn itself. The punch will improve the jig's appearance.
Be wary of the hookpoint while brushing the fibers back as you wrap. There have been times when I've felt like my thumb is a pin cushion. Time to purchase a thimble, I think.
