More than half the spots I have cleaned the last couple days have had crawdads (orange on the claws) in them. The others had threadfins. I believe I am going to start throwing a craw of some kind to see what happens. </p>

The ones right there by the dam should have lots of crawfish with all that rip rap. Also the shad spawn is beginning so they are easy pickens too.

My son loves the crankbaits shaped like a crawdad...works for him. I cant stand cranking them. I'll take a jig down there over crankbait anyday.

Sounds and looks like the Spot Tx was planned right. Should be interesting to see what wins.

. I've caught many 3s and 4s, plus the 9lb'er, all on craws over the last month. The bass just gobble them up this time of year. They will be the go-to bait on the Chick for a couple more weeks until the lizard gets hot.
