I am a God-fearing Christian. I am not scared to let that be known. I admit that I haven't lived on the straight and narrow for a long, long time. It's amazing, though, how things can happen that show you that you are forgiven. When no one on this planet seems to be able to forgive you for anything, it's a comfort to know that you are forgiven by God.

Last night, after listening to a few songs by my new favorite band, Ernie Haase and Signature Sound, I finally felt the sweet release of all the tension that I had been under. Everything that the songs I sang and heard in my childhood finally made sense. To take a line from a song written by Gloria Gaither, "I will now live as one whose been forgiven."

I apologize about posting a religious post, but I just needed to tell someone! Love you all.

No reason to apologize nwgbm. I am always happy to see positive messages here, religious or not. It's the politics and bickering that I discourage due to reasons I have already posted.

John, No need to fear God... He doesn't want you to fear Him... His love for you and for everyone else is well beyond our comprehension... Just love Him and walk with Him.  Good post man!

John,
To echo what David said, you have no need to offer an apology. Your message wasn't preaching to anyone, or telling someone that the way they believe is wrong,or offering views either right or left, it was simply you telling us about your personal experience with God in your life. It certainly wasn't political. I appreciate you posting it and congratulate you on realizing that when you can't talk to anyone, you can always talk to God.

John, thanks for sharing.

Just to throw another idea out there, while this is still fresh, one of the songs that I was referring to above, which realy made me realize a few things is on Signature Sound's CD "Get Away Jordan", and is called, "It Is Done". A very powerful song.

Something else, on the lighter side of this, was something that my mother mentioned. You know the cartoons of the little ole lady that has the funny little sayings..............well, they had her saying this, "God created Satan.............so you tell me whose more powerful?" Isn't that great? My mother admitted to forgetting about that little fact, that God created Satan Lucifer, and that Satan was indeed God's greatest arch-angel (not leaving Michaeal out of the equation by any means). It was Satan that didn't like the direction that God was taking with Heaven, and decided to renounce the Throne. :)

Just thought that I would share.
