<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px">CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Chattanooga Crappie Club is set to host the 14th Annual Forgotten Child Fund Fishing Extravaganza on October 13th at Chester Frost Park to help raise money and toys for the Forgotten Child Fund’s “Santa Train.”</span>

<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px">The fishing extravaganza will include a crappie and a bass tournament with cash prizes, along with vendors, food and free family-friendly activities.</span>

<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px">All the proceeds from the event will benefit the Forgotten Child Fund and their efforts to deliver presents to families in need during the holidays. Event organizers are also asking participants and attendees to come enjoy the festivities and “Fill Up the Towboat” with unwrapped toys that will be donated to the Forgotten Child Fund’s “Santa Train.”</span>

<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px">“This fishing tournament is all about the kids,” says Kelly Simmons, President of the Forgotten Child Fund and Captain at the Chattanooga Fire Department. “This event helps us raise thousands of dollars and hundreds of toys every year to help give families in need the Christmas they truly deserve.”</span>

<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px">The Forgotten Child Fund is a non-profit charitable organization focused on helping Chattanooga families in need since 1965, sponsored by the Chattanooga Fire Department, Chattanooga Police Department, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Dept. and the Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services.</span>

<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px">Entry fee for the bass or the crappie tournament is $25 per boat plus a $5-$10 unwrapped toy per person to help us "Fill up the Tow Boat". Winners from the Crappie and Bass tournament will receive $1,000 in cash prizes. Second place in each tournament will receive $800 and third will receive $500, based on 100 boats entered.</span>

<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px">This is the first year that the event will host both a bass tournament and a crappie tournament.</span>

<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px">“We want to include all anglers of all types and skill levels and just a have a fun day full of fellowship and good fishing, all for a great cause,” says Jim Edmister, president of the Chattanooga Crappie Club.</span>

<span style="color: #1d2129; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px">The Chattanooga Crappie Club is a local organization focused on preserving and showcasing crappie fishing in the Tennessee Valley region hosting community tournaments and events.</span>

General information:</p>

1. Registration begins at 6am. CASH ONLY</p>

2. $25 per Boat + unwrapped toy per angler. If fishing for Bass & Crappie, $25 for each total $50.00.</p>

3. You are required to complete a weigh-in card at registration, keep the card with you and must have it to weigh-in fish.</p>

4. Crappie limit = 7 fish Bass limit = 3 fish</p>

5. You must have Bass and Crappie in separate bags at weigh-in prior to entering the weigh house.</p>

6. Two (2) anglers per boat with one (1) exception, one (1) child under the age of 16 is permitted.</p>

Launch:</p>

1. Separate flights (per 25 boats) will leave from the boat ramp and will be due back according to flight group.</p>

2. Your flight and time to return are on your registration weigh-in card.</p>

3. Live wells will be checked from the dock as each boat is released.</p>

Weigh In:</p>

1. Weigh-in begins at 2pm, must return according to flight (on weigh-in card at registration).</p>

2. Must have separate bags if fishing for Bass and Crappie.</p>

3. Big fish must be marked before entering weigh house.</p>

4. All bass will be released. Fish care will be provided. Crappie will go to Reflection Riding Center after this tournament. Coolers will be provided.</p>

5. Every angler entered in tournament will be provided lunch as part of their entry fee. 6. All anglers must check in with the with tournament official at the ramp.</p>

• Raffles will be taking place at vendor booths and for the Cabelas cooler donated by Bass Pro Shops. Bring cash and WIN some great prizes!</p>

• Lunch is provided for anglers otherwise lunches and vendor booths will require cash to make purchases. Please note that any donations for the Forgotten Child Fund will be taken and are greatly appreciated. We are all here “For the Kids” and to fill the TowBoat with toys to help children for Christmas.</p>

• Bring your families and come enjoy a great time. Bass Pro Shops will have giant yard pong, blow up archery range and corn hole to play. We’re excited for this event and can’t wait to see you and your family there.</p>
